Meet and Greet car parking at Gatwick – frequently asked questions

If you have never tried meet and greet car parking at gatwick it can be a little bit daunting wondering where you meet us, who will drive your car, how will they find you, how do you know they are the right person and many similar questions.

What is Gatwick Meet and Greet parking?

Meet and greet at Airport is where you drive to your departure terminal ‘Passenger Drop-Off Area’ and we send a driver to meet you. Watch our video - How it works

They will check your car; give you a returns card/car receipt including return instructions and then take your car away and park it for you. You just have to walk into the terminal and check in for your flight. This process takes about 5 mins.

When you return you call us on our dedicated 24/7 mobile number once you have collected all of your bags and we will return your car to where you dropped it off.

Help-me-park was established in 2005 by Barry Babister and Sean McCarthy. The company ethos is professionalism and excellence of customer service.

Will my car be safe?

Yes your car will be safe. Our car parks hold the Park Mark® accreditation which means they have been risk assessed by the Police and have the appropriate security and permissions for airport parking. Watch our video - Secure off-airport parking for your car.

All our drivers are fully comprehensively insured and have received training and guidance regarding how they drive your vehicles on the public road.

Where will my car be parked?

Your car will be parked in our secured car parks which hold the Park Mark® accreditation. One car park is less than a mile from Gatwick Airport at City Place and the other is 7 miles by road in Smallfield.

What is Park Mark®?

The Park Mark® accreditation is awarded to car parks that have been risk assessed by a specially trained crime prevention office from the local police.

Park Mark® is part of the Safer Parking Scheme managed by the British Parking Association and is an initiative of the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Do you ever close?

We do not close the car parking operation so you can book for drop off or collection of your car any time day or night any day of the year.

Where do I meet at Gatwick?

You will be met at the ‘Passenger Drop-Off Area’ at both the North and South terminals at Gatwick Airport. Full instructions will be given on your confirmation email and there are maps available here

How do I contact my driver?

You will receive a text from our 24/7 mobile number before you get to the airport on departure and return. We are only 1 mile away from Gatwick so can react very quickly.

Departure – we really need you to call us on our 24/7 mobile 07716 063 663 10 minutes before you get to the airport for example at the M25/M23 junction. When we get you call we will dispatch a driver but not before.

Return – we really want you to call us on our 24/7 mobile once you have collected all your luggage from the baggage reclaim carousel. We will dispatch your car for return at this point but not before.

How will I know who my driver is?

Your driver will make themselves known to you. They will be wearing the Help-me-park uniform of a yellow and blue branded coat. Branded navy blue v-neck jumper and shirt and tie and will be carrying an I.D. card issued by help-me-park.

They should also have paper work ready specifically for your meet and greet car parking at Gatwick.

How will I find my driver?

Your driver will find you. We ask you to get to the specified area of the ‘Passenger Drop-Off Area’ at the terminal and then park. We will find you within that area.

When you return you will need to follow the map on the back of your returns card/car receipt to get back to where you dropped your car off.

How do I make a booking?

Please enter your travel dates and times into the meet and greet gatwick parking price checker on the home page. You will be returned a price for your parking and then you just need to enter your details in our booking form and pay for your parking on a credit or debit card.

Your booking and payment is conducted on secure pages – please look out for the padlock icon – for your security and peace of mind. We do not store credit card details.

How do I make a complaint?

Firstly we are sorry that you have reason to complain but if you do our complaints policy is on our Contact Us (link to Contact Us) page. We ask you to put every complaint in writing as this creates an audit trail for the management of our complaints procedure.

We promise to respond within standard timescales and will always handle your complaint fairly and politely.

Can I get a receipt for my parking booking?

Yes. Your booking confirmation email contains all the information relevant to make a receipt for your expenses or possibly an insurance claim.
