Gatwick Airport Meet and Greet Parking trade bodies and accreditations

You want peace of mind and to be able to go on holiday knowing that your car is being parked not only in a secure car park but also by drivers that are fully insured.

You also want to be assured that the administration and management of the company you choose is up to scratch and that you will get your car back on time and undamaged.

Buy with confidence

Buy with Confidence was introduced by Hampshire Trading standards in 1999 in response to public concerns about ‘rogue’ traders. It has since been adopted by many other Trading Standards offices around the country.

Traders must recommended to join the scheme and are then subject to a series of background check on their staffing policies and management practices before they can be fully fledged members.

Member meet and greet contractors must:

  1. Adhere to the scheme’s code of conduct
  2. CRB check all members of staff
  3. Pass inspection checks on management practices and recruitment
  4. Pass checks on their terms and conditions to ensure they are ‘fair’
  5. Have their customer complaints history and policy reviewed
  6. Not make unsubstantiated claims on their websites
  7. Must adhere to online trading regulations and laws

We are committed to helping our customers make the most of their travel plans by passing on tips and advice from the FCO through our Help Me Park blog and social media accounts.

Some of the most important advice is:

  1. Make sure you have valid travel insurance
  2. Ensure you visit your GP at least 6 weeks before you travel to check that your vaccinations are up to date
  3. Read up on your destination, including local laws and customs
  4. Make photocopies of your passport, visas, insurance details and any other important travel documents - take one copy with you, - separate from the originals - and leave another copy at home with a friend or family member.
