Newest Holiday Hot Spot Flights From Gatwick

Gatwick is making huge investments to increase its flight offerings, attracting both new airlines and new routes, and now there are many new and exciting places to jet off to. The question is, do you know about these new destinations?

You could be forgiven for thinking that you could already fly to Paris from Gatwick. However, until recently you’d have been mistaken. New to the Gatwick list of destinations is the French Capital, with flights taking just 48 minutes.

Considered as the World’s city of love; to many the home of fashion, and rich in heritage and culture, this city break is the perfect mix for anyone enjoying a few nights away.

You can now fly from Gatwick to Jersey, the British Crown dependency, situated just off the Normandy coast. Sunny and boasting warm temperatures; Jersey is just a 50-minute flight away. The island offers stunning scenery, impressive coastal walks, glorious beaches and a cosmopolitan vibe.

Long haul destinations from Gatwick are increasing, and now there are direct flights from Gatwick to Beijing, taking little over 10 hours. Beijing is now one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, welcoming 140 million Chinese tourists each year and 4.4 million visitors from across the globe.

Beijing is so steeped in history that there’s too much to mention, however a trip to the city’s Forbidden City, home to the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, is a must, as too is an excursion to The Great Wall of China.

Closer to home, yet perfect for city breaks, are flights to Newcastle, as well as direct flights to Inverness.

You can now fly directly from Gatwick to Tel Aviv, with a flight time of just five hours. Believe it or not, Tel Aviv offers a cosmopolitan city life, with an energetic nightlife, boutique hotels, along with sandy beaches. There’s also a big gay scene. However, best you start saving, as the city is an expensive place to visit.

Other new routes shortly to be launched from Gatwick are flights to Jakarta, via Amsterdam from September. And, low cost fares from Gatwick to New York could be on offer from as early as July.
