Important Information for BA, Virgin and easyJet Passengers

Terminal Moves at Gatwick for...

  • British Airways
  • easyJet
  • Virgin Atlantic

Please be advised that in January 2017 the above airlines – British Airways, easyJet and Virgin Atlantic – will be moving terminals at Gatwick Airport.

The moves will see the following changes in place next month:

  • easyJet will, from 24th January, operate ALL flights from the North terminal (previously operating from both terminals)

  • British Airways will, from 25th January, operate ALL flights from the South terminal (previously operating from the North)

    • Please note however, British Airways BA 2272/3 New York (JFK) flight will move earlier, flying from to/from the South Terminal from 11 January

    • Also, British Airways BA 2613/2 Naples (NAP) will move earlier and fly to/from South Terminal from 19 January

  • Virgin Atlantic will, from 25th January, operate ALL flights from the North terminal (previously operating from the South)

Wrong Terminal?
If you do find yourself in the wrong terminal building don’t panic. You can take the airport’s free monorail service, which operates every few minutes, between the North and South terminal buildings.

Parking and Lifts
Please note, that if you are flying in January but before the change dates yet arriving back to Gatwick after these dates you will fly into the NEW terminal. Be sure to advise your Gatwick meet and greet parking company or family/friends accordingly.

Allow Sufficient Time
As always, it is advised that you arrive at the airport in good time. As a general rule, for short-haul flights it is recommended you check-in 2-2.5 hours before your departure time; for long-haul flights it is recommended that you check-in 3-3.5 hours before your departure time.

Also bear in mind, depending on how you have arrived at the airport, that you will need to add extra time to your journey to make your way from with the train station, car park or meet and greet parking areas. Don't forget, Gatwick Approved Operators are allowed to park directly outside the terminal building, giving you access to the Airport in minutes.
