Help Me Park Partners Know Before You Go Campaign
Help Me Park is delighted to announce that we have become an official partner of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s ‘Know Before You Go’ (KBYG) campaign; a campaign created to help British nationals stay safe while they are abroad.
While most trips overseas are problem free, British travellers can sometimes encounter issues. Most problems can be prevented, or made less stressful, with a little planning and forethought.
As part of our partnership, Help Me Park is committed to helping our customers make the most of their travel plans by passing on tips and advice from the FCO through our blog and social media accounts.
Some of the most important advice is:
- To make sure you have valid travel insurance that covers you wherever you are and whatever you are doing
- Visit your GP at least 6 weeks before you travel to check that your vaccinations are up to date and to obtain health advice for your destination
- Purchase a good travel guide and read up on your destination, including local laws and customs
- Make photocopies of your passport, visas, insurance details and any other important travel documents - take one copy with you, keeping them separate from the originals, and leave another copy at home with a friend or family member, or store securely online.
Wherever you are travelling abroad, and for whatever reason, the better prepared you are, the safer you will be.
