London - December 2009: Resat Gundogdu, who is the owner and operator of the Pound Hill Fish Kebab and Steak Restaurant, has appeared in Court for his part in and Airport Car parking Scam.
Following recent fine of near £ 24,000 for poor hygiene at his Grattons Road restaurant, Mr Resat Gundogdu, has now pleaded guilty to an offence under the 2006 Fraud Act.
The hearing was told that Resat Gundogdu and associates operated a website called - www.gatwicksecureparking.co.uk - where airport parking for Gatwick Airport and advertised as "secure parking" with " lockable gates and six foot high fencing ".
Mr Gundogdu was found to be keeping the cars parked outside his restaurant in Peterhouse Parade, Pound Hill.
Time was up for gatwicksecureparking.co.uk when West Sussex County Council's trading standards team carried out a dummy contract following receipt of a number of complaints. Their car was monitored and they found their car was not moved for three days.
Gundogdu was ordered to pay £836 costs to the trading standards, and sentenced to 140 hours community service after pleading.
