Whilst most of us are still planning Christmas, many people are thinking about next year's summer holiday.

A recent survey of British travellers asked 5,000 people where they would be heading off to next year.
Surprisingly, despite being on the verge of bankruptcy, Italy and Greece are set to be at the top of the Brits' holiday hot spots next year.
In the survey carried out by Travel Supermarket, the most popular destinations are likely to be:
- Portugal
- Italy
- Ireland
- Greece
- Spain
The reasons seem to be that the countries' financial woes will be to our benefit - cheaper hotels, restaurants and bars, even shopping will mean our hard-earned cash will go further. What's more, the short flying times of around 2 and 4 hours are a winner for families, and with Air Passenger Duty (APD) set to rise in April 2012, many will rule out long-haul holidays.
Major sporting events can play a big part in a country's popularity – take the surge in South African holidays following the success of the World Cup. The European Football Championships in Poland and the Ukraine are likely to spark an interest with the UK, especially for city breaks.
As well as determining which countries will increase in popularity next year, the survey also revealed those countries that are likely to miss out on the holidaying Brit Abroad.
Political unrest and civil riots could mean that Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey will suffer a decline in British visitors. In 2012, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia all have general elections, which could mean more unrest. That said, there are bound to be many Brits who remain undeterred and take advantage of some great deals – especially last-minute deals – that are expected to be around next year.
Benefitting from sitting outside the Eurozone, Turkey has been very popular for great value holidays however, this is set to change next year. Prices, due to the country's inflation, are on the rise, and could have a knock-on effect on holiday prices.
Outside of short-haul and European destinations, countries such as Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Sri Lanka are set to increase in popularity says Travel Supermarket, all helped by the increase in airlines offering an extensive choice of flights.
