Gatwick airport passport and visa information.

Help and tips for foreign travel from your favorite Gatwick Airport valet meet and greet parking contractor - Help-me-park.com. Don’t forget meet & greet parking really is the best way to start and end your travel through Gatwick Airport.

Passports @ Gatwick Airport

All uk residents wishing to travel through Gatwick Airport should hold a full valid passport, don’t leave ot too late to apply for a passport as it can take time. Help-me-park.com would suggest appling 3 months in advance.

You can contact Passport service on 0870 521 0410 24 hours a day. After leaving Gatwick Airport your entry into some countries will have an immigration requirement for a passport to remain valid for a minimum period - at least 6 months, after the date of entry to the country. It is also important for some of these countries that your passport be in sound condition , so if you are in doubt we suggest getting a new one.

If you are unsure you should source the embassy details for the country you wish to travel to and discuss with them.If you encounter problems whilst abroad then your nearest British Embassy, High Commission or Consulate, should be able to issue a replacement passport for you, and in many cases an emergency passport will be made available to you.

Visas

Many countries outside the British territories may require that you have a visa to entry to that country. Your plane ticket is not a visa and your airline does not have a responsibility to deal with imigration visas.

Help-me-park.com suggest you check with the Consulate or Embassey of the country you wish to visit well in advance of your travel . Many visas can now be obtained online
