Park Mark & The Safer Parking Scheme are initiatives launched by The Association of Chief Police Officers (APCO) to encourage car parking operators to monitor and improve their facilities with a view to reducing criminal activity and the fear of crime itself.

The scheme is now a widely acclaimed benchmark within the airport parking industry. Due to recent television reviews of rogue traders amongst airport meet and greet parking operators the Park Mark stands alone as a national accreditation that is most likely an unachievable goal for any rogue Gatwick airport parking operator as there are rigorous tests to complete.

The Park Mark accreditation will ensure that an operators site is inspected and meets criteria set out within the scheme. For a company such as Help-me-park the scheme concentrates heavily on how we conduct our staff and the procedures, and working practices that are implemented by management to ensure the safe conduct of your vehicle whilst in our custody.

Once accreditation has been achieved regular re-assessment is carried out to ensure that standards have not slipped.

Help-me-park began application for Park Mark in May 2007. Our initial assessment raised a minor amount of improvements which could be made. Investment in these improvements has been made. Due to the fast expansion of Help-me-park.com Ltd we are currently assessing a move to a larger car parking premises and as such have suspended our application process with Park Mark.

Our appraisal and advise from Park Mark assessors has identified areas where slight improvement could take place and these matters have been addressed at our existing premises.
